[ 22 too much ]
The world's a strange sort of black and white sometimes. Maybe it's just me. Me, collage of quirks, quilt of guilt, half robot, half character, half incalculable, runny-nose-mess, prose-less, me. Longing on the corner waiting for the bus with not enough warm clothes. Longing to capture and express and confess and break free. To walk into a room full of poets instead of scientists every once in a while. To walk into a room and fall in love. And not even worry about the way things break.
I have these two short stories I've been meaning to write... for about 3 years now. So far I only have the titles: "Sunday at the Lovestruck Maniac" and "You Say Tomato, I Say Gazpacho". For some reason or another I just haven't had the attention span (damn you stumbleupon) to actually write something cohesive. But I swear to... whoever it is that's in charge of these things that I'm gonna finish them before I turn 23. |

[ Re: New Regional Manager! ]
Dear Negative Temperatures,
Although you probably couldn't tell what I was thinking beneath my hat, scarf, mittens, and three-hundred-and-twenty-seven layers of sweaters and shirts, it was a pleasure to meet you this morning. I've heard so much about you, and I hope you weren't offended by the music I had playing. Sometimes I just like to listen to some Calypso or Reggae or Bossa Nova. It's not at all to say that I wish it were warmer! It's just what I happened to have on my ipod... lol!
Anyway, I'm really glad that you're taking over this whole weather situation for a while. The guy who was in charge before was so indecisive! If I may make a suggestion, though - you should rethink your approach when it comes to meeting people. I mean, you come rushing out over this frozen lake, howling like some sort of demon. Does that really work on anyone? I can't imagine you're making a lot of friends with that kind of attitude. But, what do I know? It's good to have you on board!
See you tomorrow,
Bob "Freezy Feet" Johnson
